Billy Joel vs King Danger

So you've probably seen the John Lewis advert with the new cover of Billy Joel's 'She's Always a Woman" by Fyfe Dangerfield. The advert itself doesn't fail to disappoint, but how about the cover? I am already entwined in interest over the legacy that Mr. Dangerfield seems to be creating for himself in the music industry, but he seems to have excelled himself with this cover, proving once and for all his natural ability to make something beautiful for ears everywhere, even if it isn't his original song.

Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of Billy's, and 1977's 'The Stranger' album is a force to be reckoned with. But there seems to be a few amazing covers of his best known kicking around the music scene at the moment.

King Charles' cover here is amazing, and trust me, it is just as impressive live. The updated lyrics are on par with Mr. Joel's.

The revival of such great songs is more than exciting and I can only hope it continues... avid music talent, play on.
